The Red Sea Project will create a sustainable tourist destination like no other, incorporating conservation and luxury into one world-class location.
The Red Sea Project will marry the unparalleled natural beauty of the islands with the comforts of ultra-luxury tourism. It will be a getaway destination you won’t want to miss!
Natural Marvels
Despite being home to the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef system, the Red Sea has not been a top island tour destination until now.
With over 28,000 square kilometers and 90 different islands, the Red Sea Project holds unparalleled beauty.
From the beautiful beaches and sprawling dunes, to the dormant volcanoes and sweeping canyons, these islands have integrated natural beauty everywhere you look.
The resorts and architectures are designed to complement the natural beauty of the islands.
During the development process, the planners consulted extensive environmental studies and the largest marine spatial planning simulation ever to ensure the development would minimally impact conservation.
This careful planning resulted in the development of less than 1% of the total area, so the natural beauty could be preserved through conservation.
Because of the integrated design, visitors benefit from this decision too, since they get to take in the full scope of the island’s wildlife.
Unparalleled Activities and Services
Don’t worry, the focus on conservation doesn’t take anything away from the activities and services on the islands!
On the contrary, they make them even better!
You can appreciate the marine conservation efforts first-hand through scuba diving, diving excursions, and snorkeling; you can even contribute to the conservation efforts through conservation dives.
Explore the top of the water, through kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, sailing, and more.
If you’d rather stay on land, there are hiking, climbing, and biking options to fit every skill level!
The world-class ultra-luxury resorts feature excellent views, restaurants, and wellness activities, which are bound to please even the most exacting guests.
There are beautiful resorts, such as the Six Senses Southern Dune Resorts, which echoes the natural beauty of the sand dunes around it, and the St. Regis Red Sea Resort, which offers private getaways with specialty avant-garde villas.
The islands also promise to be a world-class yachting destination, with easy access from Europe and the Mediterranean.
You can also expect a luxurious airport with the Red Sea International Airport, easily accessible via seaplane or electric vehicle.
With advanced security gates and the new Smart Luggage system, which guarantees seamless luggage handling, you’re guaranteed to have a stress-free beginning and end to your Neom adventure!
Visit The Future Of The Red Sea
The first phase of the project is planned to be completed by 2024 with 16 hotels, while its first three hotels will open in 2024.
Phase one will include the following facilities:
– 16 luxury and hyper-luxury hotels
– Marinas, leisure and lifestyle amenities
– The Red Sea International Airport
The 16 hotels are being built in five locations: two inland and three on islands.
Shura Island (formerly known as Shurayrah Island and also known as Coral Bloom) is the project’s hub island and is where 11 hotel brands will be located, a yachting marina, retail and entertainment area, and 18-hole championship golf course.
All 11 hotels on Shura Island were designed by British architects Foster + Partners to blend into the natural environment.
Two more resorts will be located at Ummahat Island, one at Sheybarah Island, one inland at Southern Dunes, and another inland at Desert Rock.
There are many reasons to put this collection of islands on your list to visit!
