With so many groundbreaking and elaborate projects underpinning Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, it’s no wonder it will require more development companies.
To fill the need for sustainable, visionary development, in his role as Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman recently announced the launch of Ardara.
Ardara is a new development company, which will take on the development of the AlWadi.
Located in the southwestern region of Aseer, AlWadi will be an innovative city with five districts, all with environmental conservation and wellness at its core.
However, AlWadi will be only one of Ardara’s future projects.
Keep reading to discover the mission of the company and more details about the highly-anticipated AlWadi project!
Purpose & Mission of Ardara
Ardara is not only committed to developing new centers of culture and elevated living, but also to integrating sustainability into its projects.
Ardara strives to work in an ecologically responsible way to protect the land for the future generations, by integrating conservation and sustainable infrastructure into every project they pursue.
In addition to this commitment to sustainability, Ardara works to generate investment opportunities for both local and international investors, as well as local businesses.
The company intends to partner and collaborate across many sectors, such as hospitality, arts, culture, agriculture, food, entertainment, and tourism.
For example, AlWadi’s development is projected to boost employment, by creating thousands of jobs in the region, and contribute a significant source of revenue to the nation’s GDP, which is entirely unrelated to oil.
This will contribute to the grand vision for Saudi Arabia’s future that includes social development, diversification of the economy, and integrated sustainability.
Ardara’s First Project: AlWadi
With AlWadi, Ardara aims to create an elevated lifestyle city in the Aseer region for residents and travelers alike.
Al Wadi, meaning “the valley,” will stretch over 2.5 square meters and pull on the distinctive heritage and architectural style of the area.
As with Ardara’s vision generally, AlWadi has principles of conservation and sustainability incorporated in the plans.
In fact, over 30% of the total area will be dedicated to open green space, and the area will include a stunning waterfront development of over 16 kilometers, including walking trails and areas for community gathering and cultural expositions.
As a residential city, AlWadi will offer a range of housing options (over 2,000 options), from modern apartments to grand villas, across its five districts.
Since each district has its own style and charm, residents will be empowered to find the right area for their lifestyle and include excellent infrastructure for retail, entertainment, and recreation.
Guests and travelers won’t be left out either!
Each district will contain five-star hotels and resorts, artfully sprinkled among local businesses, so everyone can be part of the action.
Rest-assured, when you visit this amazing city, you’ll be doing so in style!
An Ambitious Add to Vision 2030
With all the exciting developments coming in the next few years in Saudi Arabia, Ardara’s launch will help bring these projects to life in an innovative, sustainable manner.
AlWadi will be the perfect place for Ardara to start, since it promises to build the Saudi Arabian economy, boost the wellbeing of citizens, and offer another outstanding tourist destination for visitors.
